Wanderlust: City in Black & White These photographs recreate reality with the intention to record ambiguities, misinterpretations, impulses, or simply, to create visual annotations on particular memories. The streets of different cities are the backdrop, and the places I choose to photograph reveal themselves to my interpretive visual apetite, with which I savour any moment of oddity as well as of orderly calm offered to be captured with my lens.
Wanderlust is a strong desire for or impulse to wander, or, in modern usage, to travel and to explore the world.
The term forms from the German words wandern (to hike) and Lust (desire). The term wandern is frequently misused as a false cognate, it in fact does not mean "to wander", but rather "to hike." Placing the two words together translates to "to enjoy hiking", although is commonly described as an enjoyment of strolling or wandering.
